In front of an astonishing 84,000 people, Katie Taylor stepped into the ring in the heart of Dublin and delivered one final unforgettable chapter in a career that has inspired an entire nation.

And what a chapter it was.

The Sitting Monk, A Moment of Peace at the Irish National Stud.

Tucked away within the beautiful grounds of the Irish National Stud & Gardens lies one of the most tranquil corners of the Japanese Gardens, the Sitting Monk.

Surrounded by carefully crafted landscapes, winding pathways, ponds and ancient looking trees, the figure of the monk invites visitors to pause, reflect and simply take in the beauty of the gardens.

The Japanese Gardens were designed as a journey through life, with each pathway and feature representing a different stage of the human experience. The Sitting Monk provides a particularly peaceful moment along that journey, a reminder to slow down and appreciate the present.

A Journey Back to Their Roots 🇮🇪🍀

It was a truly special day welcoming our wonderful guests from the USA, the Corrigan family, to Dysert O’Dea Castle in Co. Clare, a place deeply connected to their Irish ancestry.

Dysert O’Dea Castle was built in the late 15th century by Diarmaid O’Dea, Lord of Cineál Fearmaic, and was the historic stronghold of the O’Dea clan. The O’Deas were a prominent Gaelic family whose territory covered much of what is now the Barony of Inchiquin.

The area is also steeped in much older history. In 1318, the Battle of Dysert O’Dea saw Conor O’Dea and his allies defeat the Norman forces led by Strongbow, Richard de Clare of Kilkenny Castle fame, an important event in the history of medieval Clare.

For the Corrigans, however, this was much more than a visit to an ancient castle. Standing in the place connected to their family’s heritage and walking through the landscape of their ancestors was a genuinely memorable moment.

A fantastic evening dining at Kyloe Restaurant in Edinburgh with some great friends, enjoying exceptional food, wonderful company and a truly memorable atmosphere.

It was also a real pleasure watching James a true master at work as he prepared a dish right in front of us. There’s something special about seeing the skill, precision and passion that goes into creating a great plate of food.

Great friends, great food and a few good laughs, the perfect evening in Edinburgh.

Some tours are special. Others stay with you long after the journey has ended.

We are incredibly lucky in this business to meet some of the most amazing, wonderful and genuinely loving people from all over the world. My most recent tour was certainly one of those special ones.

I had the absolute pleasure of spending time with one of the most wonderful families I’ve ever had the privilege of meeting. Their warmth, kindness, laughter and generosity made every moment together so memorable.

For me, this is what makes what we do so rewarding. It’s not simply about the places we visit or the miles we travel, it’s about the people we meet and the connections we build along the way.

Some guests become more than just clients, they become lifelong friends. Thank you to the Silveri family, it was such a privilege and so special.

A wonderful day in the heart of medieval Ireland with our lovely guests from LA.

Today, we spent the day exploring the historic city of Kilkenny, beginning with a visit to the magnificent Kilkenny Castle before taking a stroll along the Medieval Mile and discovering some of the city’s fascinating history and character.

From history, we moved on to a little Irish brewing heritage with the Smithwick’s Experience, where our guests enjoyed learning about the story behind one of Ireland’s most famous ales and, of course, sampling a few liquid refreshments along the way ! 🍺

To finish the day, it was time to get active and experience one of Ireland’s truly unique sporting traditions, hurling. Our guests learned the basic skills, picked up a hurley and sliotar, and had the opportunity to try their hand at one of the world’s oldest and fastest field sports. Thanks to our trainer Michael Kavanagh for his expert tuition.

From castles and medieval streets to Irish craft, good conversation and a taste of our national game, another memorable day made special by wonderful guests.
