OK I know we said this before, but we are really stopping posting on this account now! There are so many places opening up now, I really feel like I can't keep up with bringing you all the information! There are package free shops popping up all around the country from Killruddery to Killarney and I don't want anyone coming here thinking it's a complete resource and then missing out on some great shops around them!
So it is goodbye again, and thanks again for all your support, both of our business and making this such an active and vibrant community!
There are lots of other people with maps and resources showing the places to shop around Ireland so please tag them below...but that's it from us, really this time!

reuzi and The Good Neighbour are teaming up to bring a Christmas shop to Terenure village!
This is particularly exciting for us as we started out in Bushy Park Market so having a bricks and mortar package free shop in Terenure feels like the movement has come so far!
Also in exciting news there are rumours that this will be more permanent!

I missed that had started doing loose dry foods as far back as last November... This makes me excited...means that there is probably loads of places opened up in towns all over Ireland offering refill options, so between this and the places in the pipeline soon to open, there is a lot to be optimistic about!

Stopped in to get the long awaited package free crisps from at .good.neighbour in Dundrum, perfect for road trip picnics ...or snacking in the car if the weather doesn't allow! They also had some other great snacks like sesame sticks and roasted chickpeas as well as the full range of groceries!

The dream is that there will be a shop where you can get everything package free in every town and village in Ireland...but we aren't quite there yet!
In the mean time if you can't get what you are looking for locally work stopping at a package free stall or store into a day trip or an adventure!
If you are visiting skerries mills (or the beach) call into Bare Necessities, Trim castle, check out Cult Zero ...any other ideas post them in the comments!
Package free shopping needs to be easy and accessible, so work it into your life in a way that suits you!

I've mentioned that we love stopping by bulk stores when we are away, and travelling in Ireland is no exception!
We had heard about Meanwell Wholefoods paving the way with bulk foods in Ireland back in 2016 when we moved back here, but weren't in the neighbourhood until this weekend, it was great to check them out, get some snacks for our trip and pick up a few things that I haven't seen (yet) in Dublin -pine nuts and smarties equivalent!
We even checked out their Kilrush store, which will hopefully be getting more bulk options soon!

Yesterday through Facebook memories, I was reminded of the start of our journey: I was blogging about my and it was yesterday 4 years ago that I stumbled upon my first bulk store. At the time (http://blogota.weebly.com/nothing-new-year/in-exciting-news)I believed that once we moved back to Ireland there would be bulk shops aplenty...and that's how this story began!
While the situation around Dublin has much improved there is still no one stop shop where you can get every single thing you need, but is that really essential or is it ok to occasionally stop by somewhere different to pick up a few bits? ...for me yesterday it was nut butter and sesame oil from The Source Bulk Food (and an impulse buy of jellies because I had a spare jar since only jars of a certain height fit under their nut butter machine), so there you have it, just a little bit of preparation and organisation required! Yesterday it suited me to walk to Rathmines because I wanted to get out of the house and take advantage of the last day of sunshine, but under normal circumstances you could also combine a trip with meeting a friend for coffee, going to the cinema or checking out the charity shops, no great sacrifice required.
These aren't normal circumstances though, so maybe you won't be able to visit until this crisis is over (public transport is still reserved for essential journeys for example) and if you can there are a few little things that you can do to help: weigh and label your jars at home , so that the staff spend less time with them (this is a next time scenario for me), limit your browsing, respect distance from staff and other customers, clean your hands...and all the other things you are doing everywhere at the moment.
Big shout out to all the people working to keep bringing us our in these difficult times. Thank you!

:zero have a shop in Trim, but also here at with a wide selection of refills and loose products, it is a handy location since are also here and there is a huge variety of loose veg also available at the market, and a sink with soap and hot water set up outside so you can wash your hands before going in.
It may be harder to do in these days where extra care needs to be taken, but things are gradually getting back to normal .good.neighbour reopened yesterday.
