🏰 King John’s Castle, Carlingford 🏰

We love this post from Visit Carlingford — and if you’ve ever been across the Lough, you’ll know exactly why this spot takes your breath away.

Perched proudly above the harbour with Slieve Foye behind, King John’s Castle has stood watch over Carlingford since around 1190. Today, you can step inside its walls with a guided tour from Carlingford Lough Heritage Trust, bringing centuries of history and local stories to life.

It’s the perfect place to explore on a crisp autumn day — full of charm, character, and incredible views over the Lough.

Our 2025 sailing season has officially come to an end. A huge thank you to every single one of our amazing customers who sailed with us this year and to our dedicated crew who made every journey across the Lough so special. 🚗⛴️🌊

We’ve had a sensational season and can’t wait to welcome you back on board when we resume sailings in Spring 2026. Until then, keep an eye on our page for updates.

🚗✨ What an array of colours across the Lough ✨🚗

We were treated to some truly stunning cars recently, including the show-stopping Ferraris that turned plenty of heads onboard. From bold reds and sleek blues to striking blacks and greys, the ferry deck has never looked so stylish.

No matter what you drive, the scenic route across Carlingford Lough is always the best way to travel with the Mournes on one side and the Cooley Mountains on the other 🌊⛰️
