Sailing into something very special tomorrow 🚢✨ I am boarding the beautiful Crystal Serenity for the Travel Counsellors Gold Conference, sailing from Venice to Athens.

I first stepped on board Crystal Serenity when it was docked in Cobh last September, and was blown away by it's elegance, warmth and attention to detail. Now I get to experience the ship properly at sea, waking up to new views each day as we sail through the Adriatic and into the Aegean 🌊

I will be sharing photos, behind‑the‑scenes moments and insights from life on board: from dining and service to suites, shore experiences and everything in between 🍽️🛏️🛥️

Just back from a familiarisation trip on board Oceania Vista, sailing from Cork to Belfast, and I have to say… I get the hype now. 🚢✨

Oceania talk a lot about “relaxed luxury” and “the finest cuisine at sea”, and that really does sum up the experience. For me, it felt more like staying in a beautiful boutique hotel than being on a big cruise ship: elegant spaces, warm service and a really calm, grown‑up atmosphere.

A few things that really stood out for me:

The food: multiple restaurants, beautifully presented dishes and a real focus on flavour. It genuinely felt like dining was the highlight of the day, not just something you fitted in between activities.
The vibe on board: no formal nights, no pressure to dress a certain way, just smart‑casual and comfortable. Ideal if you want quality without any stuffiness.
The size of the ship: big enough to have plenty of choice, but small enough that it still felt friendly and easy to get around.
Most importantly, this trip has given me a much clearer picture of who Oceania Vista is perfect for: travellers who love good food, stylish surroundings and interesting ports, and who prefer a more refined, unhurried style of cruising over big slides and loud entertainment.

Throwback to an incredible 7-night Alaska cruise I took in late June on the beautiful Star Princess, which I’ve finally sat down to write about! 🚢❄️

Yesterday I had the pleasure of joining a hosted lunch with Avalon Waterways, and I came away very impressed ✨

This morning I had the pleasure of stepping on board Majestic Princess 🚢 while she was docked in beautiful Cobh. As part of Princess Cruises’ Royal Class, she offers stand‑out spaces that really elevate the luxury experience: a sparkling atrium ✨, stylish lounges 🍸 and plenty of quiet corners to sit back with a coffee and watch the harbour views ☕🌊.

A highlight was a leisurely three‑course lunch in the main dining room 🍽️. Immaculate service, beautifully presented dishes and that lovely unhurried cruise pace made it feel like a real treat.

I spent time exploring the pools and open decks 🏊‍♀️⛱ and getting a feel for those impressive outdoor areas. Royal Class ships also feature some of the largest balconies at sea, perfect for private moments with a coffee at sunrise or a glass of wine at sunset 🍷🌅.

It was the perfect reminder of how easy and luxurious a cruise can be: unpack once, wake up in a new destination and let everything else be taken care of for you 💼🛏️🌍.
