This weekend sees the Longford Pride Festival Parade take place in Longford Town on Saturday 8th August, with road closures in place between 3.30pm - 5.30pm.

There are some changes to the following routes during this time:

- Route 816 will have access to Longford Train Station as normal, but NO access to Ballymahon Street

- Routes 862 & 865 will have NO access to Longford Train Station, pickup/dropoff will be at Lidl/Deanscurragh

- Route 426 will only pickup/dropoff at Aldi, Killashee Road, with NO access to Ballymahon Street or Longford Train Station

Passengers should allow extra time for their journeys as the services may face short delays.

Please signal clearly to the driver with outstretched arm at your stop.

The 3rd Annual Longford Pride Festival takes place from 3 – 9 August, bringing a fantastic week of celebration, inclusion, creativity and community to the heart of Longford. 💜

The highlight of the festival is the Longford Pride Parade on Saturday, 8th August, proudly led by Grand Marshal Eddie McGuinness.

Due to roadworks in the vicinity of Longford Train Station, we are advising passengers to expect short delays on the following services:

- Route 862

🟢 Changes to cash fare options on selected TFI Local Link services are due to come into effect on 17th August 2026. 🟢

Under planned changes, several fare products including Adult Return, Adult 7-Day, Young Adult Single, Young Adult Return, Young Adult 7-Day, Child 7-Day and Child Return will no longer be available to purchase with cash.

However, customers can continue to purchase both Adult Single and Child Single fares with cash.

Customers who currently use these fare options are encouraged to avail of alternative payment methods including TFI Leap Cards, the TFI Go app and contactless payment.

TFI Leap Cards, including Young Adult and Student Leap Cards, offer a convenient way to pay and can provide better value for passengers. Availing of digital payment options can also help create a quicker, smoother and more seamless travel experience.

These changes form part of ongoing efforts to reduce cash handling on services while continuing to offer core cash fare options to customers.

Service Disruption : Route 468 Strokestown to Carrick On Shannon

Due to scheduled roadworks, the road connecting Strokestown and Elphin is temporarily closed.

Route 468 will continue to serve Elphin. Delays are expected on this service.

Please plan your journey accordingly and allow extra travel time.

Route 426 – Service Update

From Tuesday, 4 August to Friday, 7 August, the N63 will be closed daily between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. During these hours, Route 426 will be unable to serve the section between Killashee and Ballyminion and will not serve the stops at Ballymacormick or Cartronageeragh/Mega Bowl.

There may be some delays at Killashee. Passengers travelling in either direction are asked to be at the stop at the timetabled departure time.

The temporary pickup and set-down point at Killashee will be Magan’s Pub. Please signal clearly to the driver by extending your arm.

Further updates will be provided ahead of the full road closure beginning on Monday, 10 August.

Please note that the TFI Local Link Longford Westmeath Roscommon office will be closed on Bank Holiday Monday, 3rd August.

🕘 We will reopen on Tuesday, 4th August at 9:00am.

🚌 All Rural Regular Services (RRS) will operate on the Sunday timetable on Bank Holiday Monday, 3rd August.
