A big day for Vasyl here at Matthews Transport as he collects his new 261 Renault

Vasyl is with us over a year now and has fitted in from day one. Nothing is ever a problem, always takes the work as it comes and gets on with it — exactly the kind of man you want on the team.

The new Renault was supplied by Aaron in Setanta Vehicle Sales and is looking the part in the Matthews Transport livery.

General Operative

Matthews Transport is hiring a General Operative to support our workshop team in Lobinstown, Co. Meath.

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting mechanics with day-to-day tasks
Washing and cleaning trailers
Changing tyres and lights
General upkeep of the garage and yard

Requirements:

Willingness to learn and work as part of a team
Ability to work on your own initiative
Basic mechanical knowledge is an advantage
Experience in welding is desirable but not essential

Trailer Mechanic – Matthews Transport (Lobinstown, Co. Meath)

Matthews Transport is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Trailer Mechanic to join our team based in Lobinstown, Co. Meath.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance and upkeep of company trailers
Diagnosing faults and identifying required repairs
Preparing trailers for CVRT testing
Liaising with the Transport Office regarding repairs and scheduling
Ensuring all work is carried out to a high standard

Requirements:

Experience working with trailers is essential
Experience with refrigerated units (fridges) is an advantage
Ability to work on your own initiative
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
