📢We are delighted to announce that PORTUMNA HAS BEEN NOMINATED TO REPRESENT COUNTY GALWAY IN THE 2026 NATIONAL PRIDE OF PLACE AWARDS.📢
This is a massive honour for Portumna to be the chosen county Galway town for this year's prestigious competition.🙏👍
The Pride of Place national judging panel will arrive in Portumna on Monday, August 31st. We will be hosting the judges on the day and they will go on an official tour of our beautiful town from approx 1:30 pm until 3:30 pm.
To ensure Portumna looks its best, we are asking for everyone's help to make a lasting impression that will gain valuable points from the judges.🤞😁
We are also kindly reaching out to house owners, business/building owners, estate residents, owners of derelict buildings & community/sports groups.🙏💕
A few examples of works that would help are.....Painting, weeding, planting of flowers, sweeping outside shop fronts, paths, removing litter, clearing overgrown yards, gardens and entrances.

The first of our Car Boot Sales kicks off this coming Sunday June 21st😁😉🎉
Come along and support the traders. Free entry to the public/Big hamper Raffle at the gate. Lots of traders will be selling a myriad of items on the day.
