We have not had a meeting for a while but Meanwhile, Net Zero Skibbereen and Cycle Sense are hosting a few meetings to see how we can reduce transport related carbon emissions in Skibbereen.
The first meeting was Sept 22nd.
The ideas and findings from that meeting are now displayed in the window of 42 North St.
A monkey survey is circulating for those that wish to share ideas and opinions.

This Morning as part the Skibbereen Greenways group we met for Riverside walk along from the new bridge into the town,with representatives from, CECAS and Skibbereen Tidy towns.
The walk & talk was to see where the issues and obstacles are around the town, and combined,develop more pedestrian and cycle routes in the town.

We met this afternoon at the Cyclesense workshop with Chris OSullivan TD to discuss the submission to the County Development Plan by the Skibbereen Greenways group.
Really great to have the support of our local TDs and councillors, in working to make the town more connected with cycle and walking routes

Cycling on the Waterford greenway was a dream come true today,I only hope we can replecate this experience for the Skibbereen and the greater West Cork communities in some way.
