Wendy reached out to me in January on recommendation of Denis Usher as she needed an outfit for her sons wedding in June. I had met Wendy before but only socially so I didn’t really know her aesthetic as such, especially for such an occasion. We discussed different options for styles, she showed me dresses that she had looked at previously and we went through likes and dislikes. We ended up picking this beautiful, featherlight, floral cloqué from B&J Fabrics
I really couldn’t be happier with the end result!

Let’s fill Instagram with Dolly love! I loved her as a singer as well as an actress. Steel Magnolias and Nine to Five are probably two movies that I have worn out vhs tapes, dvds and been bummed over cancelled streaming on various services.

I really try to stay away from AI as much as possible but sometimes when I sit in my studio, wondering what a garment would look like in a different color it comes in as a handy tool. And this really worked out. The black you probably recognize from my previous post and the ivory is AI generated. Would be so perfect for a wedding dress. 🤍

A little throwback to 2018. This was one of my first designs when I started my business and still to this day I love this dress, especially the neckline and the cutouts on the shoulders. Maybe this one could withstand being remade in a different fabric?! 🤔

I love doing hand appliqué! This work is so time-consuming but so rewarding when you see the finished product. If someone would kindly come and order a hand appliquéd lace gown, jacket, cocktail dress or any other garment, my day would be made. Don’t forget the credit card! 😂

Yesterday I went to B&J Fabrics to pick up a gorgeous fabric I ordered quite some time ago. A hand beaded fringe on tulle situation ($$$) that my client picked for a cocktail dress. I cannot wait to show you how I intend to use this, it will be extra. 🤩

Last night Dena Casson wore one of my custom designs out to dinner at Primola on the UES. This stunning printed silk wool from B&J Fabrics was a definite head turner in combination with Dena’s striking looks. The fabric is of the greatest quality and would work perfectly for any type of garment. I see a tuxedo jacket for myself in the near future. 🤩

A few weeks ago I was invited to join Karen of Karen Rempel to join her for a fancy dinner at Philippe Chow Downtown in meatpacking district. She was was doing a writeup for her column in Our Town NYC and needed a dining companion. But of course, how could I turn that down!? We truly had a fantastic meal and we got to sample so many fantastic dishes from their menu, accompanied by delicious cocktails and some beautiful wines and dessert drinks.
Karen wears many of my designs and that evening she wore a black wool crepe cocktail dress with a asymmetrical neckline. Scroll through the photos to see the full dress.
