On 3rd August 2026, our President Shri K Syama Raju, Joint Secretary Shri P C Rao and Executive Committee Member Shri Sandeep Hegde attended the Empowered Committee meeting under the chairmanship of the Hon’ble Minister for Tourism Shri KJ George.

They represented the industry and shared valuable inputs on proposals related to incentives, subsidies, concessions under the Tourism Policy, and Mega Tourism Projects.

KTS remains committed to strengthening Karnataka’s tourism ecosystem and supporting progressive policy decisions.

Office bearers of Karnataka Tourism Society attended the high-level meeting on Coastal Tourism Development by the Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri DK Shivakumar, Hon’ble Tourism Minister KJ George and Officials from Karnataka Tourism Department at Vidhana Soudha on 19th June 2026.

KTS Vice President S Mahalingaiah made detailed presentation on policy priorities, infrastructure, connectivity, investments and sustainability. Excited to contribute to Karnataka’s coastal tourism growth!

The Karnataka Tourism Society, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism - Government of India, Karnataka Tourism Department, KSTDC, Chikkamagaluru Resort Owners Association, proudly hosted the grand inaugural programme of the Discover Chikkamagaluru initiative on 16th June 2026!

This landmark event marks a significant step in showcasing Chikkamagaluru’s unmatched beauty — from its world-renowned coffee estates and rich biodiversity to the majestic Western Ghats landscapes — and inviting travellers from every corner of India and beyond.
