GURU NANAK DEV JI AT ACHAL BATALA ON SHIVRATRI FESTIVAL.
Sri Achal Sahib stands on the spot where Guru Nanak had discussions with Yogi Bhangar Nath.
The yogi tried to show his black magic skills. However, around Guru Nanak the magic tricks did not work.
The yogis realised that a superior power had taken the wind out of their sails. The yogis fell at Guru Ji's feet. yogi came to Nanak, calm and bewildered. Guru told him that all these magic tricks would be insignificant compared to the love and grace of God.

गगन मै थालु रवि चंदु दीपक बने तारिका मंडल जनक मोती ॥
In the bowl of the sky, the sun and moon are the lamps; the stars in the constellations are the pearls.
ਧੂਪੁ ਮਲਆਨਲੋ ਪਵਣੁ ਚਵਰੋ ਕਰੇ ਸਗਲ ਬਨਰਾਇ ਫੂਲੰਤ ਜੋਤੀ ॥੧॥
धूपु मलआनलो पवणु चवरो करे सगल बनराइ फूलंत जोती ॥१॥
The fragrance of sandalwood is the incense, the wind is the fan, and all the vegetation are flowers in offering to You, O Luminous Lord. ||1||
ਕੈਸੀ ਆਰਤੀ ਹੋਇ ਭਵ ਖੰਡਨਾ ਤੇਰੀ ਆਰਤੀ ॥
कैसी आरती होइ भव खंडना तेरी आरती ॥
What a beautiful lamp-lit worship service this is! O Destroyer of fear, this is Your Aartee, Your worship service.

ਬਾਬੀਹਾ ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਤੂ ਪੂਕਾਰਦਾ ਤਿਸ ਨੋ ਲੋਚੈ ਸਭੁ ਕੋਇ ॥
बाबीहा जिस नो तू पूकारदा तिस नो लोचै सभु कोइ ॥
rainbird, the One unto whom you call - everyone longs for that Lord.

“One light!” What a powerful intention Guru Amar Das ji has shown us – two people so deeply united in consciousness that their inner light merges to become one light, one “jot”.
ਧਨ ਪਿਰੁ ਏਹਿ ਨ ਆਖੀਅਨਿ ਬਹਨਿ ਇਕਠੇ ਹੋਇ ॥
ਏਕ ਜੋਤਿ ਦੁਇ ਮੂਰਤੀ ਧਨ ਪਿਰੁ ਕਹੀਐ ਸੋਇ ॥੩॥
They are not said to be husband and wife, who merely sit together.
They alone are called husband and wife, who have one light in two bodies.
