As Shri Sanjay Swarup demits office as CMD, CONCOR, all of us in Area III bid farewell to a leader who not only transformed an organisation but also touched countless lives through his example.
His tenure will be remembered for steering CONCOR towards newer horizons ,bold initiatives, a strengthened market connect, deeper customer engagement, and an organisation prepared for the future. Under his leadership, CONCOR embraced new opportunities, including its foray into shipping, always with a clear vision of staying ahead in a rapidly evolving logistics landscape. It was he who gave us our new motto: Think Logistics, Think CONCOR.
What truly set him apart, however, was his style of leadership.
He showed us that kindness and compassion are not signs of weakness but hallmarks of true strength. Soft-spoken yet resolute, he led with quiet confidence. His decisions were respected because they stemmed from deep knowledge, fairness and conviction. He believed in his people, and created an environment where responsibility and accountability flourished.
His commitment to the organisation was extraordinary. Following up operations till the last day. This unwavering dedication defined his leadership.
He also transformed the way CONCOR engaged with its customers. Customer connect was no longer an activity, it became part of our culture.
Equally inspiring was the importance he attached to personal well-being. He encouraged a culture of health and fitness across the organisation, often participating in marathons alongside employees, not as a personal pursuit, but as a way of fostering teamwork, camaraderie and healthy living. He also frequently reminded us that, amidst professional responsibilities, family deserves our time and attention, a lesson many of us will always cherish.
Above all, he gave every officer and every member of staff a patient hearing, treated every genuine request with empathy, and mentored young officers with generosity.
From all of us in CONCOR Area III, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for your trust, guidance and inspirational leadership.
Thank you, Sir, for showing us that the finest leaders lead not by authority alone, but by example, humility and humanity.
