*Subject: Important: Avoid Filing Advance/ Prior BoEs for IGST Rate Change Cases (Effective from 22nd September 2025)*

Dear Members,

Please avoid filing ADVANCE or PRIOR Bills of Entry (BoEs) for consignments where changes to IGST rates or schedule serial numbers are involved, if the expected date of inward clearance is on or after 22nd September 2025.

Filing such BoEs in advance may result in the system levying IGST at an incorrect rate (e.g., 40% instead of 5% or 18%). Alternatively, your bill may be held up, requiring a re-call and re-assessment to apply the correct IGST rate.

Avoid paying duty amount before regulaising advance/prior bills for the scenario.

We request you to exercise caution and ensure appropriate timing when filing BoEs for affected cases.
