The terms and concepts that one needs to know before starting a career in the stock market trading floor:

Anything is quite easy to learn if one is genuinely interested in it.

While the terms and concepts can be a bit tricky, starting from the very basics can help you along the way.

There are three different markets where you can trade. Equities, Futures and Options. Since F&O (Futures and Options) instruments are essentially based on the underlying equities, it’ll be better if you make yourself comfortable with the basics of equities market, initially. This shall include terminologies, trading concepts and settlement system.

One can start trading easily, but in difficult situations, only conceptual clarity shall see you through, so always focus having strong basics.

You must have clarity on the following before you commence trading:

a. Basic buying and selling procedures;

b. Types of orders and their ex*****on in the live market;

c. Clearing system and settlement;

d. Settlement of Profit or Loss (also called as Marked to Market);

e. Transaction costs (brokerage and taxes);

f. Margin requirements and settlement in F&O markets;

g. Leverage and margins.

While the list can be a long one, these should help you in having an insight into the trading world

Day:1

Day: 2
• Early Morning halt for refreshment.
• Reach Kasol by 10-11 AM. (In normal traffic condition)
• Check in into the camps.
• Rest and leisure time.

• Get ready for the local exploration.
• Get Back to Camps.
• Bonfire with music. (IF WEATHER CONDITION PERMITS)

• Overnight stay in camps.

Day:3
• Wake Up early morning.
• Get fresh and have breakfast.
• Check out from camps.
• Start Your journey towards Barsaini, The starting point of kheerganga trek.
• Trek to kheerganga.
• Reach kheerganga, check into camps and enjoy the mesmerising views of kheerganga.
• Snacks with bonfire.
• Dinner and chit chat time.
• Overnight stay in camps.

Day:4
• Wake up and have breakfast.
• Start your trek down to barsaini.
• Reach barsaini and start your journey towards Manikaran sahib.
• Start Your journey back to Delhi.
• Refreshment halt.
• Reach Delhi by early morning next day!!!

1. Kheer-Ganga is a Pilgrimage site of Lord Shiva.
2. It is being said that during Satya – Yug: Lord Shiva, his wife (Parvati ji) and elder son (Kartik ji) used to live here.
3. Kartik ji meditated for many years in Kheerganga. Tourists visit Kartik ji’s cave to take blessings.
4. Hot Water springs of Kheerganga have healing ailments properties.
5. After 13 kilometres of the trek, take natural physiotherapy to relax your body, mind & soul.
