The promoters of the company are long associated with the river Brahmaputra in many ways. Since year 1992, they have been associated with different government organizations of India like IWAI (Inland Water Authority of India), MPSO (Minor Ports Survey Organization) Mumbai, RITES, etc for hydrographic surveys, for supply of vessels and logistical support, for channel maintenance, etc on the river B
rahmaputra. In year 1998, they started the first floating restaurant “Alfresco” to explore the river in tourism. Ever since, there has been a continuous effort to explore the river from tourism point-of-view from the promoters of the company. The first vessel that housed the floating restaurant was also designed for Long Distance River Cruising on the river Brahmaputra but since the concept did not get on due to some reasons, they limited their operations to short cruises and the floating restaurant. But the pursuit became more and more strong with time and gave rise to a new company in the name of Brahmaputra Cruise Private Limited (BCPL). Today, BCPL with its vast experience & knowledge of the river and vessels operating on it is dedicated to share the same with the world. BCPL believes that being related so long to the hospitality industry along with the experience of the river and people living by it, would be able to provide best of the experiences to anyone who is interested in cruising the river.
