Not every product discontinuation is a reflection of quality.
One of the hardest realities of building a skincare brand is balancing products people love with what is operationally sustainable. Every formulation requires ingredients that come with minimum order quantities (MOQs), often far larger than what a low-volume product can justify.
When a product doesn’t reach the sales volume needed to utilize those ingredients within their shelf life, a significant portion of raw materials goes unused and must eventually be discarded. While customers see a finished product, behind the scenes there are decisions around sourcing, manufacturing, inventory management, and long-term viability.
This is why some customer favorites eventually get discontinued not because they weren’t effective, but because the economics no longer support responsible production at scale.
Brands grow through difficult decisions. Sometimes that means saying goodbye to products that received excellent feedback in order to focus resources on products that can be sustainably manufactured, stocked, and improved over time.
To everyone who has loved and supported products we’ve had to discontinue , thank you. Your feedback, trust, and loyalty have helped shape our journey, and they continue to influence every product we build moving forward.
