It is the eyes of crocodiles that glow in the dark. But why? The answer lies in the structure of these very eyes. These reptiles have binocular vision, the pupils dilate greatly, and the retinal "rods" form a kind of mirror that reflects the light. Thus, we see the glow of the crocodile eyes.
