Logistics firms are creating more jobs. Economic Times reports, citing recruitment companies, that there will be up to 25% increase in jobs in sorting and packing centres and middle and last-mile delivery. The reason? Fresh rounds of funding and plans to expand to tier II and III cities. Logistics outsourcing is mainly driven by e-commerce and product companies, which are also hiring in middle and senior management roles. According to a 2018 Teamlease report, the overall employment in logistics would grow by 3 million to nearly 14 million in 2022.
