It started as a joke in a bar. Five months later, the joke's on me, I'm an Ironman finisher 🌋
It still feels unreal. Couldn't swim properly five months ago. Never raced a triathlon. Picked Lanzarote as my first... Not the smartest idea, but one for the books.
It was hot, it was brutal, it was hard but I absolutely loved it.
Except the marathon, a complete nightmare.
Thank you for organizing such a beautiful race.
Thank you to everyone who supported me during my training in Amsterdam, team and all the friends.
Those who virtually teach me how to swim and those who cycled with me under the dutch weather
