Airport CARGO Supervisor Ensures smooth handling of cargo throughout Cargo / Ramp Operations by performing multi-skilled role

1) Calculate load weights for different aircraft compartments, using charts and computers.
2) Determine the quantity and orientation of cargo, and compute an aircraft's center of gravity.
3) Direct ground crews in the loading, unloading, securing, and staging of aircraft cargo or baggage.
4) Distribute cargo in such a manner that space use is maximized.
5) Accompany aircraft as a member of the flight crew in order to monitor and handle cargo in flight.

Roles and responsibilities:
Check in passengers and their luggage at the ticket counter and gates.
Patiently handle customer concerns and complaints regarding ticketing and baggage handling..
Knowledgeably answer inquiries regarding flight schedules, fares and other questions as they arise
Make announcements at gate or over general PA system regarding flight activity
Be responsible for all flight movement messages between the gate, ground handling team, flight crew, and airport vendors
Qualifications:
Demonstrate strong communication skills to interact professionally with passengers, team members, and station leadership
Have proficient computer skills
school diploma, GED or work experience equivalent
Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record..
