ইতিহাসে মোড়া বর্ধমানের এই রাজবাড়ি। এর নেপথ্যে পরমানন্দ রায়ের নাম শোনা যায়। জনশ্রুতি, প্রায় চারশো বছর আগে বর্ধমান রাজার দেওয়ান ছিলেন পরমানন্দ। সেই সূত্রেই তাঁর হাতে আসে কাঁকসার এক বিরাট অংশের জমিদারিত্ব। এর জন্যই জঙ্গল কেটে তৈরি হয় বিশাল বাড়ি। পুকর, বাগান সবই ছিল তাতে। পুজোর জন্য তৈরি করা হয়েছিল দুর্গা মন্দির। সাতমহলা এই বাড়িই আউশগ্রামের কালিকাপুরের রাজবাড়ি হিসেবে বিখ্যাত। একাধিক সিনেমার শুটিং হয়েছে এখানে।

IMPORTNT TRAVEL ALERT: North Sikkim Closed For Tourist.

Due to severe landslides at Munsh*thang on Lachen-Chungthang road and Lema/Bob on Lachung-Chungthang road, coupled with continuous heavy rainfall last night in North Sikkim, the region is currently inaccessible. The road to Chungthang is open.

As a result, permits for North Sikkim have been canceled, and new permits will not be issued for today. Tour operators are advised not to send tourists to North Sikkim until further notice. If you're planning a trip, please stay updated on the latest conditions before visiting.
