On 18th June,2026 Calicut International Airport, Airports Authority of India successfully conducted a Full Scale Emergency Exercise(FSEE), simulating an aircraft accident scenario within the airport premises.
The exercise witnessed the active participation and invaluable support of all department of AAI,CISF, Kerala Police,Kerala Fire & Rescue Services, District Administration, Mercy, Relief & Taluk Hospitals, NDRF, Airline and GHA Representatives, Jilla Trauma Care and other airport stakeholders, reflecting a strong spirit of coordination and preparedness.
Designed to replicate a real-life emergency situation, the exercise provided a vital platform to assess emergency response capabilities, validate existing procedures, strengthen inter-agency coordination, and identify areas for improvement. Such exercises play a crucial role in enhancing the overall emergency management framework and ensuring that all stakeholders remain well-prepared to respond effectively during actual emergencies.
