Yes, I completely agree. Among all environmental concerns, cleanliness is the foundation of a healthy and sustainable society. Unfortunately, many people believe that keeping public places clean is solely the responsibility of local authorities. This mindset encourages littering and indiscriminate disposal of waste, making it difficult to maintain clean surroundings.

Another serious concern is public spitting, which is not only unhygienic but also creates health risks and degrades the appearance of our cities. Although there are bans on gutkha, pan masala, and to***co products in many places, their implementation & enforcement often remain inadequate.

Similarly, the continued use of single-use plastic bags poses a major environmental challenge. These plastics clog drainage systems, pollute the environment, and significantly increase the workload of sanitation workers.

A clean environment is a shared responsibility. Every citizen must adopt responsible habits, while authorities must ensure effective enforcement of environmental laws. Real change will come only when individual responsibility is combined with strong civic administration. While on international land we follow the rules, why not in Bharat?
