The Balti Heritage House and Museum is a 140-year-old traditional ancestral home located in Turtuk, the northernmost village of India in the Nubra Valley, Ladakh.
It is widely considered a "living museum" because it isn't just a collection of artifacts; it is a preserved family home that offers a rare window into the Balti way of life, which is distinct from the more common Ladakhi Buddhist culture found elsewhere in the region.
❓What to See Inside?
✅ The Balti Kitchen: Featuring traditional clay stoves, copper pots, and wooden vessels used for centuries.
