Warm food in a small USSR café.
Simple. Familiar.

At the end, lights spelling 2026 —
just a few days to go.

A white Christmas evening, gentle and slow,
Moscow wrapped in a silver glow.

At Gorky Park, lights sparkled, skates found their way,
Laughter on ice as the world paused to play.
A glowing toy train, a childhood dream,
Snowflakes dancing in a winter scene.

By the Moscow River, the night stood still,
Ice drifting softly, calm at will.
Reflections of light, peaceful and deep,
Moments December loves to keep.

Warm chebureki, old stories, true,
Shared with friends, simple joys grew.
And as bright lights quietly fixed,
Just a few days more… 2026 ✨

Grateful for days like these —

Today we visited the beautiful Novospassky Monastery, one of Moscow’s oldest monasteries, founded in the 14th century and later rebuilt in stone in the 17th. Surrounded by quiet gardens and golden domes, it carries centuries of Russian history — from the Romanov family tombs to the echoes of prayers that have never stopped through wars and revolutions.

There’s something deeply calming about walking through its courtyards — the sound of the bells, the smell of incense, and the soft winter sunlight over the blue and gold domes remind you that peace is still possible in this restless world. 🌿✨
