Ashutosh CFS & Shubham Group handle full rice rake at Mundra
SSA International provides the motivation
Notching up another success in providing its customers fast and cost-effective service, Ashutosh CFS and Shubham Shipping—one of the oldest and pioneer shipping companies in Mundra—handled a full rice rake on September 5, 2015 using its own skilled labour and equipment.
At a time when the liquidity crisis has hit the ex-im sector hard, a cost reduction of this magnitude enhances the confidence of clients in service providers like Ashutosh CFS and Shubham Shipping, stressed a release.
The effort could not have been a success without the support of the exporter, SSA International Ltd, which was open to ideas and to exploring all possibilities to make the handling a success. Also, Adani Ports and Western Railway extended their full support. Ms Monika Rathi - DGM Exports of SSA International Ltd, emphasised that minimised logistics cost, qualitative handling and time-bound services will be the key factors to compete globally in the current scenario.
Among those present during the entire operation were Mr Suresh N. Thacker, Mr Bhupendra N. Thacker and Mr Bhaven S. Thacker, Directors of Ashutosh CFS, and Mr C. R. Panda, Mr Prashant Purohit and Mr Saurabh Vyas also of Ashutosh CFS.
Established in 1982, the group specialises in handling all agro products (rice, sugar, soya, etc.) in bulk and containerised shipments. It also specialises in the clearance of rakes at Mundra.
This handling performance of Ashutosh CFS and Shubham Shipping has set a new benchmark for all other operators and service providers in the trade, and has opened a new horizon for export cargo flow from various regions to Mundra. This venture will definitely provide cost-effective solutions to the ever-inflating logistics costs during the period of recession, the release emphasised.
