Bhutan isn’t difficult to visit.
It’s just... structured differently.
A lot of what might feel like “restrictions” at first, the fees, the rules, the pace, actually exist to manage tourism and protect the country’s culture and environment.
And once you’re there, it makes sense.
Places feel less crowded.
Traditions feel preserved, not performed.
And the overall experience feels more intentional.
The key is simple: Don’t approach Bhutan like a typical trip.
Plan a little more.
Respect the system.
And go with the mindset of experiencing, not just covering places.
If you do that, Bhutan will feel very different in the best way.
Save this before you plan your trip and send it to someone you’d explore Bhutan with.
