AI, IoT and the Future of Engineering.

Artificial Intelligence and IoT are rapidly moving beyond systems that simply answer questions, towards technologies capable of reasoning, acting and operating autonomously—opening up new possibilities for engineering, innovation and society.

At the 39th National Convention of Computer Engineers, organised by the Institution of Engineers (India), Kochi Local Centre, Shri S. Suhas, IAS, Managing Director, CIAL, delivered the Guest of Honour’s address on “Artificial Intelligence and IoT for an Inclusive and Empowered Society.”

The address touches upon developments including OpenAI’s Codex, Anthropic’s Claude and Mythos, Google Gemini and Sarvam AI, and the growing role of AI across cybersecurity, infrastructure, aviation and space technology.

🇮🇳 A Proud Independence Day at CIAL

CIAL Managing Director Shri. S. Suhas IAS hoisted the National Flag, marking the beginning of the 80th Independence Day celebrations at Cochin International Airport.

The ceremony was followed by a spirited parade by the ARFF and CISF personnel, along with a special performance by the CISF Dog Squad.

The celebrations were attended by Airport Director Shri. Manu G., CISF Senior Commandant Shri. Nagendra Devvrari, CIAL Executive Directors Shri. Santhosh J. Poovathil and Shri. Saji Daniel, along with other officials and members of the CIAL family.

🚧 Traffic Advisory

The Public Works Department (PWD), Government of Kerala, has announced a temporary traffic restriction on the Sree Sankara Bridge, M.C. Road, Kalady, from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM on 23, 24 & 25 July 2026 due to emergency repair works.

Passengers travelling to Cochin International Airport from the Muvattupuzha/Perumbavoor side are advised to follow the notified diversion routes and plan their journey accordingly to avoid delays.

Please refer to the attached notice for detailed diversion routes.
