Knowledge and technology are great equalisers, and Arya.ag works hard to distribute both of these along our value chain.
Knowledge allows for people to make better decisions– for example regarding the price of their commodities. We see a future where farmers will never again be at a disadvantage because they lack information about the true value of their efforts.
Technology is the other great leveler, because it enables transparency, and acts as the support structure to distribute information and tools.
This is why SDG 10 is one of our favourite SDGs.

Propelled by , we are happy to announce that Arya.ag has achieved over 100 crores monthly agri loan disbursements in March. It is heartening to see the on-ground adoption of Insta-loans that has been the main driver to reach this milestone. And while technology is front-ending the fast-paced for Arya.ag, it is our people who have been at the core of this satisfying journey.

Poonam is a small landholding farmer. Her family lived on the outskirts of the village with poor road connectivity. They struggled to sell their paddy and used middlemen who offered them low margins. But Poonam joined the Chaura Matta Self Help Group (SHG) and Mahadev Mahila Gram Sanghathan in December 2018. The SHG helped her understand how to sell directly to millers using community market interventions. She received more margins from selling directly to the millers.
With renewed confidence, she started helping maintain the book of accounts for her Village Organisation (VO) and also became the Village Facilitator. Her work has encouraged other small and marginal farmers to try community market interventions.

Rani Devi is the financial support for a family of four. Her family was in debt and paying hefty interest rates to money lenders. The National Rural Livelihood Mission helped her explore different options. This training enabled her to obtain a 1% interest loan from the village organisation. Her family's financial circumstances improved when she bought livestock.

With increased financial security, she was able to work on community projects. She acted as a procurement link between small farmers and Sheetla Mata Prerna Utpadak Samuh, increasing farmers' profits. This project also helped her make more money.

She enthusiastically participated in Wholesale Market's digital training and represented her village as an Aajeevika Sakhi. Her participation has raised digital awareness among her Self Help Group members. She currently trains the women in her village. It was thanks to Rani Devi that technical assistance agencies could reach small and marginal farmers in her area.

Sudha Singh actively contributes to the finances of her 5-member family, having been a member of the local Self-Help Group (SHG) in her village since 2018. She is also an Aajevika Sakhi in the Wholesale Market (WSM). In this role, she works with small and marginal farmers in her village to ensure good profit margins for their produce and is able to earn money in exchange to help her family.
Additionally, she also facilitated the formation of the Jai Tulsi Maa Prerna Utpadak Samuh, which acts as an institution for small and marginal farmers, in her village. Further, her work has inspired women in her village to take to community-managed sustainable agriculture.
