When was the last time you booked a cab using or without any hassle? Without calling and pleading with the driver to show up? And no surprise when the driver cancels, and you start this process again. On average, that's 20 minutes wasted in your life. To put it in perspective, you could have watched an episode of Friends, checked out 4 Nora Fatehi music videos or finished your entire first lunch break while in school, all in 20 mins :)
Why am I telling you this? Well, as it stands, the entire industry suffers from this very same issue; just replace cabs with trucks and you with the manufactured goods. Hours spent on phone calls, GPS tracking, finding new trucks, more calls, waiting for trucks, loading them, and waiting for the delivery already committed. This happens every day in the industry, so much so that there is an official term called "Transport Contract Failure".
This is where FreightFox, in with the fantastic researchers at Yale University and its Yale Economic Growth Center, has embarked on a journey to help minimise contract failure. We are working closely with Dr Nicholas Ryan and Dr Prabhat Barnwal in this quest to make contracts failure proof!
