The fourteen webbing with which the balloon gets attached has the breaking strength of 5000 pounds each. Te basket is attached to the balloon with the help of a load ring which is tied to 7 steel cables. Furthermore to ensure safety extra 7 ropes are attached to the basket, each rope having the breaking capacity of 5000 pounds. The base of each cable or rope starts from the load patch of the balloon which is the strongest portion of the balloon. The winch is permitted to operate an amusement devise by New York State Department of Labour ( Division of Safety and Health ). Material Used:
Polyurethane, rubber, latex, polychloroprene. The envelope’s reasonable life expectancy is eight years of continuous use. The automated ballonet system equalizes internal pressure and maintains the balloon’s spherical shape during variations in temperature and pressure due to which balloon can withstand wind easily. Tether cable The tether cable is a specialized,Grease impregnated Dyform high-tensile wire rope. The cable is 22 millimeters in diameter and has an ultimate tensile strength of 45 tons, and in digastrics conditions the balloon can pull the cable with the force not more than 10 thousand pounds, ensuring a safety factor greater than ten. Now let’s suppose the cable breaks, safety rope in the basket which is twice the length of the cable can be thrown down and after attaching the rope with the ground pulley the balloon can be safely pulled down, now again let’s suppose the safety rope fails then there is another way by which balloon can be deflated and bought down slowly
Each passenger is tied with a safety belt which gets attached inside the basket, preventing passengers from falling accidently from the basket. Since the gas used in the balloon is helium which is non combustible gas, hence no risk of fire. Each component is designed, built, inspected and tested under
the strictest quality control. Envelopes are manufactured in partnership with a U.S. airship and aerostat manufacturer. The same plant also builds all military airships and aerostats for U.S.-based Bosch Aerospace. In rear case of puncher which can never happen unless deliberately done, the balloon won’t burst but would start leaking helium, and the bottom chamber which is filled with air will prevent balloon to lose balance, due to leakage the balloon would lose lift power and will slowly come down hence no risk of freefall. In the rare occasion of a power loss, backup power is provided by a generator
Safety In windy conditions:
High-moor system & Low-moor system: When not being operated, AeroBalloon is typically ‘high-moored’. Should expected wind speed exceed 25 mph, a set of winches lower the envelope into a cradle at ground level. This ‘low- moor’ system provides additional stability allowing AeroBalloons to comfortably endure winds up to 60 mph. AeroBalloon is already installed at:
