Independence Day 2026 at Lhou & Kitpi Circles
Some glimpses from the Independence Day 2026 celebrations at Lhou and Kitpi Circles, where the occasion was marked with pride, unity, and patriotic spirit.
At Lhou Circle, the celebration was graced by Mr. Tenzin Tashi, GPC Lhoudung, as the Chief Guest, while Shri Tenzin Monpa, ZPM Kitpi Circle, graced the celebrations at Kitpi Circle as Chief Guest. Their presence added significance and dignity to the occasion.

The celebrations were further enriched by the presence of respected senior leaders and elders, alongside public representatives and members of the community. Students, the general public, and public leaders came together and became part of these memorable moments, reflecting the strong spirit of community participation and togetherness.

A inspiring day at Lhou Government Higher Secondary School as we had the privilege of welcoming His Eminence, the Abbot of Sera Jey Monastery. His visit and insightful address left a lasting impression on our students, teachers, and the entire school community.

During his talk, His Eminence spoke about the importance of preserving our rich cultural heritage, embracing compassion and wisdom, and staying rooted in our traditions while adapting to a rapidly changing world. He emphasized that safeguarding our identity, language, values, and customs is a shared responsibility that empowers future generations to face global challenges with confidence and integrity.

His message encouraged students to pursue education with dedication, cultivate kindness, respect diversity, and become responsible citizens who contribute positively to society. The interaction was both inspiring and thought-provoking, reminding us that true progress lies in balancing modern development with the preservation of our cultural roots.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to His Eminence for his precious time, invaluable guidance, and blessings. This memorable visit will continue to inspire our school community for years to come.
