Happy Father's day to the father of "Iranian modern transportation Industry".

The late Seyed Mehdi Kahnamooi (1921-1996) started his professional activity in the field of in 1941 with exporting dried fruit products (for family companies) by rail from border to Europe; then continuing to operate as a founder’s partner in the establishment and operation of the East Freight and Passenger Company. And then they established Nobashari Domestic Transportation Company in Tabriz and Kahnamooei Company in . Along with the domestic freight activities, Mr. Kahnamooi started Import customs clearance in Jolfa. Subsequently, the representative office of the Freight and Shipping Company for Azerbaijan was opened in in the mid-1950s. Kahnamooi had the freight and shipping agency of the German transport company (DEUGRO) which transported cargo to Iran via Jolfa border and the Soviet Union. At that time, Millitzer & Munch were transporting their groupage in a wagon, jointly with DEUGRO. This process resulted in acquaintance of Mr. Kahnamooi and Militzer & Munch Company and establishment of P***e Group (PTB) to cooperate with this group.

customs authority doesn’t allow cargo gets discharged into private warehouse outside customs premises. There are two warehouses dedicated to handle LTL cargo within Bazargan customs (namely Warehouse 5 and 8). Considering high volume of incoming cargo to this customs house, by the time local infrastructure gets improved, discharge of LTL cargo remains quite time-consuming. To shorten the lead time, we can manage to discharge cargo in customs yard open area, upon your instruction, to get documentations arranged and truck released sooner. We’d be talking precautions to secure the cargo against weather conditions. However, this remains subject to customs approval. Please share with us your instructions.
