🇮🇹 COVID-19 UPDATE: ITALIAN GREEN PASS 🇮🇹
Italian Health Minister Roberto Speranza has signed a new ordinance valid since the 16th of May, that provides the entrance in Italy from EU and Schengen Area countries, as well as from Great Britain and Israel, with a negative Covid test. This allows to avoid the current mini-quarantine system of 5 days. In the same ordinance, the restrictive measures related to Brazil are extended.
With another ordinance, "Covid tested" flights (for people submitted to Covid swab prior departure) are strengthened in the airports of Rome, Milan, Venice and Naples, expanding the countries of origin to Canada, Japan, the United Arab Emirates, in addition to the United States.
The purpose of the Government is to abolish the quarantine (currently 10 days for all non-Schengen countries) for all arrivals from the USA, Japan and Canada.
Still banned the accesses from India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
The European Green Pass will come into force on mid-June, while the Italian one will be valid from Sunday the 16th.
In order to arrive in Italy and avoid quarantine, the following are needed:
- Vaccine Certification + negative Covid test done 48 hours prior entering in the country
Or
- Recovery Certificate + negative Covid test done 48 hours prior entering in the country
