Siamo lieti di essere presenti alla 40ª edizione delle Vele d’Epoca di Imperia, uno degli appuntamenti più importanti dedicati alla marineria classica, che quest’anno celebra i suoi 40 anni.

Un incontro particolarmente significativo per noi: 40 anni di Vele d’Epoca e 130 anni di Cantieri Sangermani, due storie unite dalla stessa idea di mare, fatta di eleganza, tradizione, artigianalità e passione.

Il nostro stand è già aperto dal 28 agosto e vi aspettiamo per raccontarvi il mondo Sangermani attraverso disegni, fotografie e strumenti del mestiere, per scoprire insieme come, da 130 anni, il mare passa attraverso le mani di chi lo immagina, lo costruisce e lo vive.

E dal 2 al 6 settembre, Stella Polare, Artica – che quest’anno celebra i suoi 70 anni – Masayume, Sandra e Chin Blu III faranno brillare le onde di Imperia con la linea gialla e i tre pallini delle imbarcazioni Sangermani.

ᴵᵀ In questi giorni le nostre maestranze sono impegnate nel restauro del fasciame di tre imbarcazioni classiche.

Ogni tavola di fasciame rimossa racconta una storia. Ma non a tutti. Solo a chi sa quali strumenti usare per ascoltarla: il tatto, l'olfatto, la vista.

Il legno è la memoria della barca. Una memoria che incontra quella della maestranza: visiva, tattile e perfino olfattiva. Un sapere ereditato, custodito e arricchito in anni di lavoro. Un patrimonio che nessuna macchina potrà mai sostituire.

In questi momenti i più giovani si radunano attorno alla maestranza e osservano in silenzio. Seguono ogni movimento, rimanendo concentrati, per trattenere ogni gesto nella memoria.

E chi lavora lo sa.
Sorride tra sé e, quasi senza accorgersene, si sposta appena affinché tutti possano vedere. Rallenta ogni gesto, perché sa che ad imparare ci sono le mani del futuro.

ᴱᴺ These days, our shipwrights are working on the hull planking of three classic wooden yachts.

Every plank that is carefully removed tells a story. But not to everyone. Only to those who know which senses to trust: touch, smell and sight.

The wood holds the yacht's memory. That memory meets the memory of the craftsmen: visual, tactile and even olfactory. Knowledge inherited, preserved and enriched through years of experience. A heritage that no machine will ever replace.

At moments like these, the younger members of the team gather around the craftsmen and watch in silence. They follow every movement with complete attention, committing each gesture to memory.

And those who have devoted their lives to this craft know it.

With a quiet smile, they instinctively step aside so everyone can see. Every movement becomes slower, because they know that the hands of the future are there to learn.

Nei dettagli risiedono la sapienza artigianale, il tempo, la dedizione e il profondo rispetto per il materiale che si lavora.

Non importa quale forma abbia un'imbarcazione, che nasca da linee contemporanee o da progetti ispirati al passato. Sono i dettagli a raccontarne l'anima e a renderla davvero unica.

Ispirato alle linee dei tradizionali brigantini goletta toscani, protagonisti del trasporto del marmo lungo le coste italiane nell'Ottocento, rappresenta un perfetto equilibrio tra ricerca storica, cultura navale, maestria artigianale e nuovi metodi di costruzione.

Whether inspired by contemporary design or by the great sailing vessels of the past, it is the details that give a yacht its character.

The yacht featured here is Barbarossa, built in 1989 and launched in 1990. Inspired by the traditional Tuscan brigantine schooners once used to transport marble along the Italian coast, she brings together historical inspiration, master craftsmanship and modern boatbuilding techniques.
