1. Bring refillable water bottles 💧
Buying drinks for a whole family all day gets expensive very quickly. If you’re funny about tap water like me, take filtered bottles.

2. Your hotel choice matters 🛌
We stayed at Santa Fe and our room didn’t have air conditioning. During a heatwave, it made a huge difference to our sleep and comfort. Check the room facilities properly before booking.

3. Cooling towels are amazing
They were one of the cheapest and most useful things we packed. Wet them, wring them out and put them around your neck. They genuinely helped us cope with the heat.

4. Check every transfer option 🚕
For five of us, a private taxi was around the same price as the direct train and the Magical Shuttle because those are priced per person.

There is a cheaper train, but you have to travel into Paris and then back out again. That means a much longer journey while carrying luggage and managing tired children.

I couldn’t risk a crowded train with my autistic daughter. I knew the trip could be over before it had even started. The taxi gave us a calm and easy beginning to the trip.

5. Buy the shoulder pet at the beginning 🐒
I loved looking at everyone’s shoulder pets. If you want one, buy it early so you can enjoy it for the whole trip. You probably won’t be wearing it around Tesco when you get home.

6. The Priority Card made such a difference ♿️
It allowed us to use the priority entrances and meant our whole family could stay together on the rides. It didn’t remove every wait or prevent every difficult moment, but it made the parks much more manageable for us.

Disneyland Paris Priority Card also gives priority at the payment tills in shops and restaurants. It doesn’t mean instant service, so you should show the card to a Cast Member and ask where to wait.

The Easy Access Card is designed for guests with one of Disney’s recognised long-term illnesses who cannot comfortably wait in a standard queue but do not have the official disability evidence needed for a Priority Card.

Priority Card = priority access throughout much of the parks.
Easy Access Card = timed return access for rides only.
