Twenty thousand square metres of private park. No neighbours, no fences to interrupt the view — just campagna and old woodland running to the horizon in every direction.

Walk the grounds and you'll find two authentic trulli, one restored. Beyond them, the lawn opens wide enough for the dogs to run a full circle before the malinois decides the shade wins.

Inside, 310 square metres over two levels, with panoramic windows rare for this region. Outside, the patio in Trani stone catches the last light of the day.

This is what "private" means here: space enough to hear only the wind moving through the trees.

A bowl of taralli lands on the patio table just before aperitivo, and hands reach in before the wine is even poured.

They travel well, these little rings — a handful on the rooftop at sunset, a few tucked into a bag for the drive down to the coast. Fennel seed or plain, olive oil and white wine worked into the dough, then simmered and baked until they crack between your teeth.

Pugliese hospitality often begins here: something small, shared, no fuss. On the pietra di Trani patio, with the park stretching out on every side, they're the easiest way to slow into an evening.

Best paired with a local white and no particular plan.

Which stage would you choose come summer, when the whole valley starts to sing?

By day, the pool waits — Trani stone underfoot, water folding into the horizon, the park hushed and green all the way to the tree line. By night, the drive is short. Lyric voices rise under the stars at the Festival della Valle d'Itria in Martina Franca. Down the road, fills warm evenings with sound, and come August takes over its own corner of the region.

Here is the rhythm we love: sun and silence, then music. Come home to the quiet, floats still warming on the loungers, the villa glowing soft against the dark.

The line where the pool ends and the sky begins is no accident. An infinity pool is engineered so the water spills silently over a hidden edge into a catch basin below, tricking the eye into reading water and horizon as one continuous plane.

Here, that edge meets the Valle d'Itria — a landscape of old woodland and open country, held quiet by protected land.

Above the water, a patio of Trani stone stretches wide, warm underfoot at this hour, the last light softening the white walls behind it.

Five bedrooms. Twenty thousand square metres of private park. And a horizon that, from the pool, seems close enough to touch.

Five bedrooms, all en-suite, sleeping up to twelve guests. Every room opens to the panoramic windows the villa is known for, framing the campagna and the ancient wood beyond.

Outside, a 900 sqm patio in Trani stone carries the sun from morning to late afternoon. There's a gazebo with a full outdoor kitchen and a table set for eighteen, and a 210 sqm rooftop when you want nothing between you and the sky.

The dogs know the park better than anyone — you'll spot them cutting across the lawn before they settle into the shade.

Private spa inside: hydromassage, sauna, Turkish bath. And when the light drops, the whole place turns quietly golden.

A woman folds her newspaper on a curved stone bench, the morning light filtering low through the plane trees. This is one of Martina Franca's quiet gardens, five minutes from the villa, where the town wakes slowly before the day begins.

Gravel underfoot, dappled shade, a lamppost still holding the memory of last night. The baroque heart of the town is just beyond these trees — but the mornings belong to spaces like this one, where locals sit, read, and let the sun climb.

The Valle d'Itria is not only its whitewashed alleys and famous festivals. It is also these ordinary corners, generous with shade and time, that make the days here feel wider.

Paws thudding across the lawn, then quiet again — the dogs run a wide circle through the park before flopping into the shade.

Behind them, the villa holds its lines against the green. Panoramic windows catching the morning. Trani stone underfoot, cool a while longer.

Twenty thousand square metres of private park means the only schedule here is the light. Malinois, shepherd, jack russell — the house has its own welcoming committee.

No neighbours. No noise. Just the Itria Valley breathing around you.

Do you press your thumb into a still-warm focaccia barese, or do you tear a corner off first?

Here it comes crowned with cherry tomatoes burst red in the oven and green olives pressed deep into the dough. Semolina in the crumb. That olive-oil sheen catching the light. The kind of thing you eat standing up, then reach for again.

This is the food of the Valle d'Itria — unhurried, generous, made to be shared. Pull the glass doors of the villa wide, carry it out to the patio, and let the afternoon take care of itself.

Ring-shaped, snapped by hand before baking — that little knot in every tarallo is why the dough dries evenly and stays crisp for days. In Puglia they were the traveller's bread, made to last the road. On our patio they come out with the wine, still faintly warm, and the road can wait.
