The June 22 workshop dedicated to cross-border cooperation, new management models and responsible tourism culminated in the signing of the Open Tourism Cooperation Agreement between the promoters of the Open Tourism Plus project for the sustainability of the Circuit.

A moment of celebration and collective commitment to promote sustainable tourism as a resource for social and economic development, respecting the environment and local cultures.

Il workshop del 22 giugno dedicato alla cooperazione transfrontaliera, ai nuovi modelli di gestione e al turismo responsabile è culminato nella 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗮 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗹’𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗼 di cooperazione Open Tourism tra i promotori del progetto Open Tourism Plus per la sostenibilità del Circuito.

Un momento di celebrazione e di impegno collettivo per promuovere il turismo sostenibile come una risorsa per lo sviluppo sociale ed economico, nel rispetto dell'ambiente e delle culture locali.

In the afternoon of 22 June, the workshop on Open Tourism Services continued, with many interventions.

Aldo Summa, Open Tourism territorial animator, introduced this second part of the event which wanted to be an opportunity to share the usefulness and beauty of B2B as an opportunity for exchange between operators from Italy, Albania and Montenegro.

The presence of the representatives of the Pro Loco was fundamental, who brought their experience and their contribution and reaffirmed their willingness to support the administrations in the development of the territory.

Working together at a local and cross-border level is, in fact, the main way to build projects and solutions that are important for the territory.

Nel pomeriggio del 22 giugno è proseguito il workshop sui Servizi Open Tourism, con tantissimi interventi.

Aldo Summa, animatore territoriale Open Tourism, ha introdotto questa seconda parte dell'evento che ha voluto essere un'occasione per condividere l'utilità e la bellezza dei B2B come occasione di scambio tra operatori di Italia, Albania e Montenegro.

Fondamentale la presenza dei rappresentanti delle Pro Loco, che hanno portato la loro esperienza e il loro contributo e hanno ribadito la disponibilità ad affiancare le amministrazioni nello sviluppo del territorio.

Lavorare insieme a livello locale e transfrontaliero è, infatti, la via maestra per costruire progetti e soluzioni importanti per il territorio.

The day of June 22 dedicated to the workshop on the tourist potential of Open Tourism Services saw many interventions, among the main points the collaboration between public and private, the enhancement of local identities, the seasonal adjustment of tourism and the importance of offering tourists a variety of experiences.

In addition, useful tools such as maps, promotional videos and an app for operators were presented and it was recalled how Europe supports tourism not with a single funding program, but with many programs that can finance different aspects of this sector , like green is digital.

La giornata del 22 giugno dedicata al workshop sulle potenzialità turistiche dei Servizi Open Tourism ha visto tantissimi interventi, tra i punti principali la collaborazione tra pubblico e privato, la valorizzazione delle identità locali, la destagionalizzazione del turismo e l'importanza di offrire ai turisti una varietà di esperienze.

Inoltre, sono stati presentati strumenti utili come mappe, video promozionali e un'app per gli operatori ed è stato ricordato come l’Europa sostenga il turismo non con un programma di finanziamento unico, ma con tanti programmi che possono finanziare aspetti diversi di questo settore, come il green è il digitale.

The Workshop on the tourist potential of Open Tourism Services was opened by the President of the Unione dei Comuni Terre del Mare e del Sole, Giuseppe Fischetti, at the Municipality of Maruggio (Taranto).

In his speech, the President underlined the importance of collaboration between Italy, Albania and Montenegro for the development of new models of responsible tourism and management.

"Today we will sign a collaboration agreement that will give continuity to the work done so far, aiming at the construction of increasingly important intangible assets for the future of tourism in these nations" he declared.

Il Workshop sulle potenzialità turistiche dei Servizi Open Tourism è stato aperto dal Presidente dell'Unione dei Comuni Terre del Mare e del Sole, Giuseppe Fischetti, presso il Comune di Maruggio (Taranto).

Nel suo intervento, il Presidente ha sottolineato l'importanza della collaborazione tra Italia, Albania e Montenegro per lo sviluppo di nuovi modelli di gestione e turismo responsabile.

“Oggi firmeremo un Accordo di collaborazione che darà continuità al lavoro svolto finora, puntando alla costruzione di beni immateriali sempre più importanti per il futuro turistico di queste nazioni” ha dichiarato.

🌍🤝 COOPERATION AGREEMENT
FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE OPEN TOURISM CIRCUIT

The Unione dei Comuni Terre del Mare e del Sole, Prijestonica Cetinje and the Center for Economic Development & International Relations (CEDIR) will sign a historic agreement on 22 June in Maruggio to develop the OPEN TOURISM model.

The goal is to promote the OPEN TOURISM cross-border circuit and develop sustainable tourism in the food and wine, green, cultural and experiential sectors. An OPEN TOURISM Board will be established and joint projects for cross-border cooperation will be developed.

A new phase of cooperation to create economic opportunities and promote cultural diversity.

🌍🤝 ACCORDO DI COOPERAZIONE PER LO SVILUPPO DEL CIRCUITO OPEN TOURISM

L'Unione dei Comuni Terre del Mare e del Sole, Prijestonica Cetinje e il Center for Economic Development & International Relations (CEDIR) firmeranno un accordo storico il 22 giugno a Maruggio per sviluppare il modello OPEN TOURISM.

L'obiettivo è promuovere il Circuito transfrontaliero OPEN TOURISM e sviluppare il turismo sostenibile nei settori eno-gastronomico, green, culturale ed esperienziale. Sarà istituito un Board OPEN TOURISM e si svilupperanno progetti comuni per la cooperazione transfrontaliera.

Una nuova fase di cooperazione per creare opportunità economiche e promuovere la diversità culturale.

🌍📣🗺️ Coming up: the Workshop "Le potenzialità turistiche dei Servizi Open Tourism. Tra cooperazione transfrontaliera, nuovi modelli di gestione e turismo responsabile” hosted by the Comune di Maruggio (Taranto). Important representatives of the OT project and local, regional and national institutions, pro loco and operators from Albania and Montenegro will participate.

🌐 This event, sponsored by the Interreg IPA CBC Italy-Albania-Montenegro program, will focus on opportunities, tools and strategies for cross-border tourism promotion and the sustainability of the Circuit. The results of the Open Tourism project will be presented and the role of the Unione dei Comuni Terre del Mare e del Sole in tourism development through cross-border cooperation will be discussed. European funding opportunities to support tourism will also be explored.

🤝 The Open Tourism Cooperation Agreement will be signed between the project promoters, the Union of Municipalities Terre del Mare e del Sole, the Comune di Cetinje, and the NGO Cedir.

A significant step towards sustainable tourism as a resource for social and economic development, respecting the environment and local cultures. 🌍🙌

On May 30 and 31, events dedicated to territorial promotion were organized in the territories of the Unione dei Comuni Terre del Mare e del Sole, and we would like to share Telerama's report in this regard.

These days were dedicated to the promotion of food, wine, experiential routes of the Open Tourism project and involved institutions, Italian, Albanian and Montenegrin tour operators.

As part of the Open Tourism project, some Italian, Montenegrin and Albanian tour operators visited the De Padova farm in .

This visit was an opportunity to promote tourism and the culture of the area, as well as encouraging collaboration between tour operators from different countries.

Experiences like this help to create a more aware tourism, which enhances local resources.

Thanks to the active participation of the municipalities of Leporano and Maruggio, the day of May 31st of the Open Tourism project also proved to be a great success!

Obviously it doesn't end here: we will continue to work hard to improve the Open Tourism tools more and more, in the awareness that great results can only be achieved thanks to teamwork. Networking is the secret to success.

A big thank you to all those who contributed to this successful day for our territory and for the Open Tourism project. In particular, we thank the Italian, Albanian and Montenegrin tour operators.

👨‍🍳🍽️📝 An unforgettable experience at the Masseria "Le Fabriche" in the Municipality of Maruggio (Taranto)! The Italian, Albanian and Montenegrin tour operators took part in an exciting cultural and environmental itinerary, accompanied by the Mayor of Maruggio, Adolfo Alfredo Longo, and the Councilor for Tourism, Anna Maria Gioia.

During the visit, the Pro Loco of Maruggio held a typical cooking lesson, to convey the secrets of local culinary traditions. The key moment was the packaging of a traditional dish, which made it possible to put the teachings into practice. An engaging experience, to experience the authentic spirit of the area up close.

But the experience doesn't end there! Italian, Albanian and Montenegrin tour operators will evaluate this valuable experience through a specially created questionnaire. The goal is to improve Open Tourism tools, in order to make the most of experiential tourism itineraries. Indeed, promoting experiential tourism means preserving local traditions and offering visitors an authentic immersion in the territory.

👨‍🍳🍽️📝 Un'esperienza indimenticabile presso la Masseria "Le Fabriche" nel Comune di Maruggio (Taranto)! Gli operatori turistici italiani, albanesi e montenegrini hanno partecipato ad un emozionante itinerario culturale e ambientale, accompagnati dal Sindaco di Maruggio, Adolfo Alfredo Longo, e dall'Assessora al Turismo, Anna Maria Gioia.

Durante la visita, la Pro Loco di Maruggio ha tenuto una lezione di cucina tipica, per trasmettere i segreti delle tradizioni culinarie locali. Il momento clou è stato il confezionamento di un piatto della tradizione, che ha permesso di mettere in pratica gli insegnamenti. Un'esperienza coinvolgente, per vivere da vicino l'autentico spirito del territorio.

Ma l'esperienza non finisce qui! Gli operatori turistici italiani, albanesi e montenegrini valuteranno questa preziosa esperienza attraverso un questionario appositamente creato. L’obiettivo è migliorare gli strumenti di Open Tourism, al fine di valorizzare al massimo gli itinerari del turismo esperienziale. Promuovere il turismo esperienziale significa, infatti, preservare le tradizioni locali e offrire ai visitatori un'immersione autentica nel territorio.
