The final meeting of the "Crisis" project was held in the conference room of the municipal headquarters in Via Martiri di Via Fani, in Molfetta.

The objective of the project, financed by the European Commission, was to create an alghorithm capable of making the transport of dangerous material in the Adriatic safe and sustainable.
Lead partner of the project is the Municipality of Molfetta, while the other partners are the Flag Molise Costiero and the Municipality of Ulcinji.
The meeting saw the precence of the engineer Danilo Martino and the architect Antonella Fatone, sole manager of the procedure, together with the Mayor of Molfetta Tommaso Minervini.

With the conclusion of the project, the data collected on the transport of flammable materials in the program area was illustrated. The creation of the platform for the management of maritime transport, with dedicated software, is of fundamental importance for achieving the set objectives and for the safety of transport in an important area, with notable benefits also from an economic point of view.

The meeting of the Interreg "Crisis" project organized in Termoli by the Flag Molise Costiero, one of the partners of the program together with the Komuna e Ulqinit / Opstina Ulcinj / Municipality of Ulcinj (Montenegro) and the Città di Molfetta, has ended.
The meeting took place on Thursday 21st September, with the participation of the delegations of the Municipality of Molfetta and the Flag Molise Costiero, while the representatives of Montenegro participated via web. On Thursday morning the partners discussed the progress of the project and the strategies to be implemented in the next months, while in the afternoon the stakeholders and local institutions, including the Port Authority, were involved in a "Focus Group" in which problems and needs to be addressed in the future have emerged. The works are continuing quickly and the project is nearing its conclusion thanks to the synergy and work of the partners which have allowed us to make important steps forward not only from the point of view of management and international communication but also with regards to the objectives technical and technological. In particular, we are working on the design of two algorithms: the first concerns the definition of the best route and route for boats, taking into consideration the weather conditions, traffic conditions and risk indices based on the characteristics of the material transported. The other algorithm concerns the optimization of the storage of goods and consequently the arrival procedures of ships in the port.

Crisis: la rete dei porti per uno sviluppo in sicurezza

The meeting of the partners involved in the Interreg project called "Crisis" is scheduled for Thursday 21 September, at 11.00 in the conference room of La Vida Wellness & Medical in Termoli.

The partnership meeting is organized and hosted by the Flag Molise Costiero and will focus on the progress, the results obtained and the next steps to be taken in the implementation of a project that is nearing completion.

For the occasion, at 4.00 pm, a meeting was also organized with the local authorities and stakeholders, in order to communicate and verify the strengths and weaknesses of the project.

The CRISIS project was born with the aim of increasing cross-accessibility, promoting a sustainable transport service through the analysis of data and testimonies relating to maritime transport between Italy, Albania and Montenegro.

This is a project of "Cross-border risk management of the transport of dangerous materials", which sees the participation as partners of the Municipality of Molfetta, the Coastal Molise Flag, the Municipality of Ulcinj (Montenegro). The final objective is the creation of an algorithm and an ITC platform capable of monitoring and guaranteeing the safety of the transport of potentially dangerous material across the Adriatic and the four affected ports.

Partnership meeting for the progress of the Crisis Project.

On the agenda there are the progress achieved and the new goals planned.

The meeting, organized by Flag Molise Costiero, will be focused on:
- Project Review and status of WP
- Status of WP T1 and timeline
- WP T2: next steps and timeline
- Status of WP C and events to be realised

This is an important opportunity to define the final phases relating to the implementation of the ICT platform in order to establish a network between the Adriatic ports of Italy, Montenegro and Albania.

Project Meeting (StC)
7th June 2023

A new Project Meeting took place on Wednesday June 7th 2023 (10:30-13:00 Italian time) with the online participation of 13 participants.

The initiative was organized by Municipality of Molfetta (LP) in the frame of the project CRISIS “Cross-border RISk management of hazardous materIal tranSportation", financed by INTERREG Italy-Albania-Montenegro 2014-2020 Programme.

The meeting had a significant importance in defining the strategies and in understanding the activities carried out up to now, with the aim of establishing clear deadlines for the conclusion of the project.

After a discussion among the participants, partners agreed to postpone the project deadline until 30th November 2023 in order to complete the platform and tested it.

Much importance was given to communication and the possibility of organizing other dissemination events during the last month of the project, in order to complete all the partners activities and present them to the public.

The main objective of the Crisis project is to create an ICT platform in order to establish a network between the Adriatic ports.

But what is meant by ICT platform?

In general, hardware, software, and digital communication are the three sectors in which ICT technologies are developed and are now widely used in social, commercial and economic contexts around the world.

By ICT we mean all the processes and practices connected with the transmission, reception and processing of data and information.

An important aspect not only in person-to-person communication, but also in the one that takes place with technological objects.

In the Crisis project, data and information related to cargo traffic will be able to guarantee safer and more ecological traffic between the ports of Italy, Montenegro and Albania.

Carriers, port operators, public administrations and more generally the territories, that will be able to enjoy safer transport systems, will benefit from the new solutions that will emerge.

All the partners are working for the studies/research and data collection on the transport system in each port and on the risks associated with the transport of dangerous materials in order to create the algorithm to prevent environmental risks.

The results will be exposed in the meeting scheduled for next spring.

STATEMENT ABOUT THE THIRD MEETING

"On 26 and 27 October we hosted the third meeting with the other partners of the Project CRISIS.
The meeting took place in Ulcinj and it was our care to organize the event in order to deepen the progress of the work and plan future developments. We thank the partners who participated and collaborate with us.
Municipality of Ulcinj is a partner of the project and shares with the partners the aims to study the peculiar risks by considering data and evidences in the maritime area of Italy, Albanian and Montenegrin territories as well
as the road transportation in the surrounding area. The main output of the project is developing an ICT platform that will assist the stakeholders in several ways. The main goal is to minimize transportation risk and to protect the environment.
Ulcinj, for two days, was at the center of these works, becoming a point of reference for all the actors involved".

CRISIS 3rd TECHNICAL MEETING, 26 - 27 OCTOBER 2022

The third technical meeting of the Crisis project was a great success.

The event was organized by the Municipality of Ulcinj on 26 and 27 October with the participation of the three partners involved: Municipality of Molfetta, Flag Molise Costiero and Municipality of Ulcinj.

On the agenda there were the progress achieved and the new goals planned. Particular attention was dedicated to the discussion and approval of the Project Management Model, the approval of delivery dates, the definition of the tasks of each partner and the common specifications of the deliverables.

An important step forward was made on communication guidelines and digital activities.

The meeting allowed an important progress in the collaboration between the partners and a fundamental change in the methods of data collection that will lead to the construction of the algorithm that will allow to improve dangerous transport activities.

Other events are planned to define the details of the project.

The European project "Crisis" was presented yesterday in Termoli. The press conference was attended by the delegations of the Municipality of Molfetta, leader of the project, the Municipality of Ulcjni ​​and the FLAG Molise Costiero.
During the conference, the potential and the expectations of the project were highlighted. The project "Crisis" aims to establish a network between Adriatic ports for the safe development of the transporter and trade of dangerous materials, through an ICT digital platform. The President of FLAG Molise Costiero Vincenzo Ferrazzano illustrated the results obtained in the technical table held in Termoli between the partners on the afternoon of January 24th. "Maritime transport between Italy, Albania and Montenegro is constantly increasing - declared the director of the Flag Molise Costiero Cloridano Bellocchio - this project represents an important opportunity from an economic point of view. The possibility of accidents and disasters related to the transport of dangerous materials, including chemicals such as paints, detergents and more, must lead to the prevention of risks and constant cooperation aimed at the prevention and management of any magnet".
