If you are going on a Med Cruise starting in Rome, Venice or Barcelona, you need to do some planning. No finer books on the market than my two books:
"Italy No Tour Needed, and " Spain and Portugal No Tour Needed.
These are NOT GUIDEBOOKS! They are PLANNING BOOKS! You need to remember Rome (and most of Italy) require timed tickets for historic venues. And, Barcelona is the worst. Major attractions require timed tickets. If you are content on walking the "Las Ramblas" fine. If you want to see the Sagrada and other sites, you need to start PLANing. And, I am not kidding. Even if you booked thru booking engines, you may find out they are unavailable for when you want them. And, of course you will pay a lot more than an entrance fee. So best to purchase my two books now.

On your upcoming Med Cruise, you need to "brush up" or educate yourself on what to do (mainly Barcelona) and other points if you will be spending a few days in this beautiful country. My personal feeling is that it is second only to Italy. Food, people, historic sites and more! That's a pretty bold statement. Once you visit places like Girona, Toledo, Seville, Granada and more you will understand.
Best to purchase a copy of Spain and Portugal No Tour Needed. And while you are at it also get a copy of Italy No Tour Needed. Considering that you will be spending between $1500-$2000 per person to see Italy for 10-14 days, is it not worth it to invest $24 in a PLANNING book?

ok, ok, yes, you probably know a lot of Italy, even without going there. Yes, the Coliseum, the Amalfi Drive and more. But what do you know about Barcelona?

So, you are taking a Mediterranean cruise in the Fall. And it originates in Barcelona Spain. The question is what do you do in Barcelona? You probably have no idea.

You need to plan for it. Don't expect that a half day will do it. It won't. You may not even have enough time to walk the Las Ramblas. So, let's plan for a few days in one of the world's most exciting cities.

There is no better way to do this that I know of, without purchasing my easy to read PLANNING book. You will find all the information in "SPAIN AND PORTUGAL NO TOUR NEEDED."

FIFA IS FINALLY OVER AND SPAIN HAS WON THE WORLD CUP, CONGRATS TO SPAIN. Now on to planning.
You need to read this if you are going on a Med Cruise in the next few months. You need to start planning those pricey shore excursions or extra days in Barcelona, Venice or Rome. Here’s what you need to know.

Most Med Cruises will either start in Barcelona and end in Rome or Venice or vice/versa. If so, you need to plan on several days in each city. There are no better books on the market than my books on Italy and Spain (and Portugal).
You can do it all yourself, and it is so easy. But you need to start planning now.
If you want to stay at excellent 3 and 4-star hotels in Rome, Florence, the Amalfi Coast, and Venice, you need to get my best seller ITALY NO TOUR NEEDED:
https://www.amazon.com/ITALY-TOUR-NEEDED.../dp/B0D4B3H9N3.
In my book, I provide several itineraries for 7, 10, and 14 days. You can add or delete for each itinerary. What’s most important is that I provide you with hints and tips that even the locals don’t know. And, no, you do not have to speak Italian. Most Italians speak English, and they also speak with their hands. So bring on that great bread, the pasta with clams, the antipasto, and the gelato! BTW, all my books come with free technical support. Just email me your questions, and I'll get back to you within a few hours.

And, for those days in Barcelona you need to order:
https://www.amazon.com/SPAIN-PORTUGAL-TOUR.../dp/B0GF1VFB14.

Note- Linda is not taking any chances on her upcoming cruise in late September. She has ordered one of my Italy books and one of my Spain Books. And remember to book extra days in Spain (Barcelona) and Italy before and after the cruise.
If you have booked your flights using “airline points” there is usually no charge to change your flights! Therefore, I suggest you go a few days earlier to Barcelona, Rome or Venice. In this way you can get acclimated, rest up, and enjoy these wonderful cities before your cruise. By the way, you can figure $300 (for two people) per day on these three cities. My books tell you all.

Ciao and Odios!

ARE YOU TAKING A MED CRUISE THIS FALL?

Most Med Cruises will either start in Barcelona and end in Rome or Venice or vice/versa. If so, you need to plan on several days in each city. There are no better books on the market than my books on Italy and Spain (and Portugal).

Forget about taking those expensive shore excursions! You can do it all yourself, and it is so easy. But you need to start planning now.

If you want to stay at excellent 3 and 4-star hotels in Rome, Florence, the Amalfi Coast, and Venice, you need to get my best seller ITALY NO TOUR NEEDED:

And please don't tell me your friends didn't enjoy Italy because they spent 4 days in Positano (walking up and down hills), and 3 days in Rome, and saw nothing! Obviously, they didn't read my book!

And, for those days in Barcelona you need to order:
https://www.amazon.com/SPAIN-PORTUGAL-TOUR.../dp/B0GF1VFB14.

Even Linda decided to purchase my new book. I will give you an update on my next post about Barcelona. Ciao for now.

*** THIS POST IS FOR MED CRUISE FOLKS ONLY***

You are spending big money on a Med Cruise, and only spending one day before the cruise to visit Barcelona? Get with it, and spend that extra $300 per day (for 2 people) and see one of the greatest cities in Western Europe, now that the Sagrada Familia is almost complete. You should anticipate spending at least two full days in Barcelona before or after that most enjoyable cruise.

If you will be spending extra days in Rome, you must also do some planning.

If you haven’t the foggiest idea what to do in Barcelona or Rome. These two destinations are WORLD destinations, and most of the attractions require “timed tickets.” Don’t expect to arrive at the Sagrada in Barcelona without a ticket or the Coliseum. You can, but I can assure you that you will not get in. Please plan for Rome and Barcelona now. There are no better books for planning than my two best sellers. You can purchase tickets for all venues directly from the websites I list in my books. Suggest you do not book “local tours” which include the tickets. Just take a taxi to the site and use your timed tickets. My son booked a tour of the Vatican at 7AM and the tour guide never showed up!

https://www.amazon.com/SPAIN-PORTUGAL-TOUR.../dp/B0GF1VFB14.
And if you haven’t seen Italy yet, then get my book:
https://www.amazon.com/ITALY-TOUR-NEEDED.../dp/B0D4B3H9N3.
Even Linda decided to purchase my new book.

You’ve looked at all those books. They tell you everything about Spain and Portugal, and show you beautiful color pictures of the sites, villages, and hotel lobbies. Five pounds of information on Spain and two pounds on Portugal, but you haven’t the foggiest idea where to start and how to plan a...
