Today we are moored at Tavolara. Called ahead to book dinner at Tonino’s - the famous King of Tavolara, and also got lucky with a mooring spot at the end of the pontoon. Spectacular water.

Now that days are getting longer, it is time to start thinking ahead to the warmer season to come. Stardust still needs to come out of the water for its antifouling and will then be ready for a long cruising season.

One of the places it will inevitably visit is the beautiful Cala Santa Maria. This large bay towards the top of the Maddalena archipelago has been a regular destination over the years: it is far enough from the main marinas to make you feel like you are in an adventure, it offers a wide anchorage with stunning clear water as well as a long sandy beach.

Yachts should approach it with care, entering from the East side to avoid large underwater boulders. During the day, regular visits by sightseeing boats can spoil the atmosphere. They are all gone by later afternoon, leaving you to enjoy beautiful sunsets and calm nights, sheltered from the prevalent winds.

Stardust comes with an amazing diving platform and a far easier ladder to use than in previous yachts we have used.

Stardust is a lot more than a sailing yacht.

It's a story that started over 10 years ago. It's our love for Sardegna - its sea and its people. It"s our young family's discovery of sailing, from day sails with Roberto Bosio out of Porto Pollo to our first bareboat charter out of Portisco.

So now Stardust is our little piece of Sardegna, available as a charter for others to experience the Costa Smeralda and Maddalena archipelago. She Is a 44 feet Jeanneau yacht with 4 double cabins and 2 heads - perfect for a couple of families sharing a holiday.
