Ponza is an island that resists easy definition. Its coastline shifts between volcanic rock, ancient Roman caves, hidden bays and a long tuff cliff that faces the open sea.

It is a place with layers, mythological, historical, deeply Mediterranean, that only reveal themselves slowly, from the water and on foot.

Five days based at Il Palazzetto Ponza move through all of them. A boat trip around the island traces the Grotte di Pilato, the Chiaia di Luna, the Natural Pools and the Baia di Lucia Rosa. A trek up Monte Guardia, guided by a local, opens onto views of Palmarola, Zannone and the Faro della Guardia lighthouse. The days end in historic cellars, with a glass of Biancolella and the particular quiet of an island that has never tried too hard to be discovered.

North of Ubud, in the tropical forest above Bali's terraced rice fields, COMO Shambhala Estate, Bali is built around a single intention: restoration.
Local stone, wood and alang-alang roofs shape spaces that feel rooted in their place, while the wellness programmes, tailored to each guest, move between yoga, meditation, the Vitality pool and nature trails.
The cuisine draws from fresh, local ingredients sourced directly from producers who share the estate's vision. The surrounding community is part of that vision too: safe drinking water reaches approximately 500 local villagers every day.

Set on the Alpe di Siusi, a UNESCO World Heritage plateau in the heart of the Dolomites, Hotels and Resorts Alpina Dolomites is a place where the landscape is not a backdrop but a responsibility.

The architecture speaks the language of the mountains: wood, stone, glass, and the clean lines of Alpine tradition reinterpreted with restraint. Inside, the rooms open onto views of peaks and meadows; the spa follows the COMO philosophy of considered wellbeing; the restaurants draw from local, seasonal ingredients with the attention that this territory deserves.

That same attention extends to how the hotel manages its environmental impact. Suppliers deliver in recyclable or reusable packaging, cleaning products are purchased in bulk, and the Chalet restaurant operates entirely without single-use plastic. Waste is separated systematically (paper, plastic, glass, organic) and taken to the recycling centre in Castelrotto, ten minutes away.

Castello di Postignano is not a hotel that happens to be in Umbria, it is a restored medieval hamlet, set in the hills above the Nera valley, that has become one itself.

The narrow lanes, the stone, the silence: arrival here already feels like a shift in pace.
The four days that unfold from this base move between places that few itineraries reach. Rasiglia, where water still runs through ancient mills. The olive oil mills near Foligno, where the season's pressing can be tasted straight from the source. The forests around Trevi, where truffle hunters work the undergrowth with their dogs in the early morning.

Spoleto closes the journey, the cathedral in Piazza del Duomo, frescoes by Filippo Lippi and Pinturicchio, the Roman Theatre, and the Ponte delle Torri stretching across the gorge at dusk.
