After a very stormy night—with rolling thunder shaking the house for what felt like 15 minutes as it echoed through the Apennines—we woke to a landscape dotted with fog. 🌫️⛰️
The hill towns of the Sannio offer a front-row seat to ever-changing scenery and views. One moment, the hills are clear and sweeping; the next, they disappear into a veil of mist.

There’s something magical about waking up to a landscape that seems to reinvent itself overnight. 🇮🇹✨

Today I walked down to the olive grove where our guests will be harvesting olives later this month, and the trees are absolutely laden with ripening fruit. 🫒
The setting is breathtaking—and just a short (slightly hilly 😉) walk from our house. We can’t wait to spend the day harvesting olives, watching them become exquisite olive oil, sharing delicious food from local shops, and, of course, enjoying some traditional music. Because no olive harvest is complete without it! 🎶

Our Olive Harvest Week is completely sold out for this year, but we’d love to welcome you in 2027 for this and other unforgettable weeks of food, culture, friendship, and the magic of life in this beautiful area of Benevento, Campania tucked away in the mountains but less than an hour from Naples.
