Colorful houses, peaceful streets, sea views and such a relaxed Mediterranean vibe. This little town completely stole our hearts.
Here’s how we spent our day in Villajoyosa:
☕ Coffee by the beach
One of our favorite moments was simply sitting at a terrace near the beach, enjoying a coffee while admiring the crystal-clear water and the colorful buildings along the coast.
🎨 Exploring the old town
The narrow streets of Villajoyosa are full of charm, with beautifully painted houses and artistic architecture around every corner. It honestly feels like an underrated Mediterranean dream.
⛪ Iglesia de la Asunción
In Plaza Iglesia, we visited the beautiful Catholic church and, for a small €2 donation/person, we were allowed to climb to the top of the bell tower.
And the view? Absolutely worth it.
You can admire the entire city, the sea and even Benidorm in the distance. 🌊
🚋 Easy day trip from Alicante
One of the best things about Villajoyosa is that you can easily reach it from Alicante with the TRAM 1, making it a perfect escape from the busy tourist spots.
This is definitely one of those places we already know we’ll return to 💛
