Buscemi is one of those places that reminds us what Sicily truly is — history, architecture, culture, traditions and nature, all woven together.

Beyond the well-known destinations, Sicily is filled with small communities like this, places worth discovering, understanding and, above all, protecting. Because quality tourism should not simply bring people to a place; it should help preserve its landscape, identity and way of life.

This is not a “Top 10 things to do in Sicily” page.

Pelin’s World began with a different question: not What should you see? but How might Sicily change the way you see?

I create private, tailor-made cultural journeys through Southeastern Sicily—around people, memory, craftsmanship, architecture and the small communities that hold stories most visitors pass by.

Because heritage is not a backdrop. An artisan is not an attraction. A village is not “small” when its stories are vast. And luxury can be as quiet as having time, meeting the right person or noticing a detail you would otherwise have missed.

This is Sicily through my way of seeing it: personal, curious and deeply connected to place.
