Alcune carrozzine OFFCARR sono certificate per l’uso su veicoli secondo la normativa ISO 7176-19. I test sono stati condotti da TASS International, Helmond (NL), che ha autorizzato la pubblicazione dei video.

I modelli sono omologati per capacità di carico differenti (a seconda della destinazione d’uso).

Zodiac — 150 kg
Diva, Althea, Themis, Quasar GT, Alhena — 120 kg
Children 3000, Ariel, Emerald — 75 kg

L’utente deve sempre utilizzare correttamente un sistema omologato di connessione in combinazione alla cintura di sicurezza del veicolo.

Some OFFCARR wheelchairs are tested for use in vehicles in accordance with ISO 7176-19. Testing was conducted by TASS International, Helmond (NL), who authorized publication of the footage.

Models are certified for different weight capacities (depending with their usecase):

The user must always use a compatible mounting system correctly, together with vehicle’s seatbelt.

Noi siamo stati fortunati a conoscerlo: lo ricordiamo sorridente, sempre affabile. Un uomo vero, prima ancora che un campione.
Ma il ruolo che ha avuto è stato enorme. Prima di Alex Zanardi, le Paralimpiadi in Italia le seguivano in pochi. Lui ha cambiato tutto; non con la compassione, ma con l’entusiasmo. Era impossibile non fermarsi a guardarlo, e fare il tifo per lui e per gli altri della nazionale paralimpica, olimpiade dopo olimpiade.
Ciao Alex.

We were lucky enough to meet him: we remember him smiling, always warm. A real person, and a real champion.
But the role he played was enormous. Before Alex Zanardi, few in Italy followed the Paralympics. He changed everything; not through compassion, but through enthusiasm. It was impossible not to stop and watch, to cheer for him and for the whole Paralympic team, at every Olympics.

Wallaby è una carrozzina multisport in polietilene ad alta densità: leggera, resistente agli urti, impermeabile e impilabile. Esiste in due misure: Original (38 cm, fino a 80 kg) e PRO (41 cm, fino a 110 kg). Entrambe possono accogliere ruote da 24”o da 26” per seguire l’utente nel tempo. È perfetta per scuole o associazioni che promuovono lo sport paralimpico o per chi si avvicina agli sport in carrozzina. Ogni pezzo viene assemblato in un centro di inserimento lavorativo per persone con disabilità in Francia: l’inclusione che questo prodotto promuove sul campo inizia già in produzione.

Ogni fase della lavorazione richiede attenzione, precisione e una conoscenza che si acquisisce nel tempo, non sempre delegabile a una macchina. Quello che si vede in queste immagini è artigianato: il tipo di cura che determina la qualità di un prodotto finito pensato per una persona specifica

Building a wheelchair is work that passes through the hands. Each stage of production requires attention, precision, and a kind of knowledge that takes time to develop and cannot be automated. What these images show is craftsmanship: the kind of care that defines the quality of the finished product, made to fit one person’s life.

Le carrozzine da spiaggia OFFCARR sono pensate anche per entrare in acqua: sulle spiagge con pendenza dolce basta accompagnarle fino al mare.

La stabilità in acqua non dipende dal galleggiamento, anzi, una carrozzina che galleggia è instabile lateralmente, ma dall’appoggio sul fondale, che assicura una base stabile anche sott’acqua.

Per l’ingresso in acqua, le ruote più indicate sono le Sand&Street, adatte anche agli spostamenti su strada grazie alla copertura piena. Le MTB appaiate, invece, sono ideali per muoversi su terreni sconnessi, sabbia, sassi e prati.

OFFCARR beach wheelchairs are also designed to enter the water: on gently sloping beaches, they can simply be pushed straight into the sea.

Stability in the water does not come from flotation, in fact, a floating wheelchair has some sideways instability, but from resting on the seabed, which provides a secure base even when the user is partially submerged.

For water access, Sand&Street wheels are the best option, and they also feature a solid tyre for use on paved surfaces. Double MTB wheels, on the other hand, are ideal for moving across irregular surfaces such as sand, gravel or grass.
