Why do I have to pay duties if I paid for door to door?
Unfortunately, this is not really the case. Jamaica Customs has the right to examine all cargo being imported and will apply duties if warranted. What door to door means is that your items will be picked up, shipped and delivered to your door however delivery can only be done after the goods are examined by customs and if the items are dutiable then after the duties are paid.
