Important Update from Jamaica Customs Agency: Significant Bond Reduction Achievement with effect from March 2, 2026:

To our valued Clients and Stakeholders:

On behalf of the CEO/Commissioner of Customs, Dr. Velma Ricketts Walker, please see attached the Public Notice advising that the Ministry of Finance and Public Service (MOFPS) has approved a 50% reduction in the Bond amount for general cargo (excluding motor vehicles) entering Private Bonded Warehouses, which takes effect on March 2, 2026.
We encourage all operators, importers, Customs Brokers, and other stakeholders who utilize Private Bonded Warehouse facilities to review the notice and share it with the relevant members of your team.
