Does this sound like you? It doesn’t have to be. Luckily, it’s still the start of a new year so all hope is not lost. You can start saving for your 2023 trip now.😌
Last year a customer filled out our vacation interest form and did a quick consultation with us. In the meeting we found out she had the desire to vacation in Jamaica, but had no vacation budget or solid plan on how to make her dream vacay come through. We simply gave her some advice on how to make her dream trip to Jamaica a reality- the good old saving tip. Simply that, and she was able to take that trip last month. 🏖️🇯🇲
Here’s everything you need to know to help you save for your trip to Jamaica (and this works for anywhere in the world you’d like to travel to):
1️⃣ Start by evaluating your finances and what you can cut back on to start saving for your trip.
2️⃣ Start a travel savings account- When you figure out what you can cut back on, intentionally use the amount of money you usually spend on these things and start a travel savings account. Deposit money into it as often as you can.
3️⃣ Automate your savings - On top of redirecting your money into this new account, to make sure you don’t fall back on your plan, ask your employer to deposit at least 10% of your monthly income into your new travel savings account.
In about 6-7 months, you’ll have enough for your trip and depending on your income you might have enough to take 2 trips this year.
4️⃣ Keep in mind you’ll be saving for at least 3 aspects of your trip - flights, hotel & airport transfers and excursions.
Without a plan, you might end up not taking that trip. So, put a plan in place now.
✅ Save as a reminder to start saving for your trip + Share with a friend to help them save for their vacation.
P.S. Do you think we should make this a challenge to help you and your travel buddies or partner save for your trip? (Doing it together and keeping each other accountable will guarantee that you vacation together this year) 😉👍🏽 Let us know in the comments
