Travel is an amanah, and we don’t take that responsibility lightly. Every Burgundy Roots retreat begins long before our guests arrive—we personally scout each destination, experience it ourselves, and thoughtfully curate every detail.

While exploring Zanzibar, I stumbled upon a beautiful hidden lagoon that was recommended by a hotel manager. We loved it so much that we made it part of our retreat—but in true Burgundy Roots fashion, we’ve transformed it into a private experience with an intimate lunch and a 90-minute swim session exclusively for our guests.

We believe travel should feel like a collection of meaningful moments, not a checklist of generic excursions. That’s why we choose to lead with vision and intention rather than follow trends or copy what’s already been done.

Our Zanzibar retreat is open to singles, couples, and families with children over the age of eight. Lock in your spot with a deposit—we would love to welcome you under the palms, in shaa Allah.
